The establishment media’s interest in allegiances
As of this posting, the recent mass-shooting suspect in Maine has not yet been captured.
One thing we can be sure of is: If he was in any way sympathetic to Democrats or leftist causes, it may be noted briefly as irrelevant and then put down the usual partisan media memory hole. If, on the other hand, he is shown to have sympathies and affiliations for anything remotely conservative — especially “MAGA”/Donald Trump, it will be the topic discussed at length through a perpetual news cycle - (like the “[non] insurrection”).
If the killer is left-wing in any way, there will certainly be no mass clampdown on “progressive” Democrats. If the shooter is on the right, new executive orders and Department of “Justice” tactics will be directed at punishing anyone who believes in constitutional minimal government.
In a sane world we should all be able to agree that mass-shooting incidents of this kind are terrible. Crazy violent people can have any number of views politically. Media’s use of a killer’s beliefs to further their own agendas is pathetic.
